Will Optimistic Spa Managers Miss Retail Reality?
I just finished reading the Day Spa Association Retail Sales Snapshot Report – 4th Quarter 2015!
Optimism for retail sales in 2016 are high with 80% of spa managers projecting to sell more retail.
As I think about these optimists a few questions enter my mind.
Generally, things don’t change on their own. I’m wondering what measures have been put in place that will make these increases happen?
Also, are the spa managers who haven’t been successful clear on what’s needed to improve?
Sometimes it’s hard to get a different perspective on processes when you’ve been doing them for years.
Even when they don’t work.
Blockbuster Video is a good example. Who knew that selecting video rentals in brick and mortar stores would cease to be entertaining?
Or who could have projected that in 2016, 45% of beauty consumers would prefer using their mobile devices to access product information rather than talking directly to a sales associate?
It’s something to think about.
The most successful businesses are able to recognize the need for change and embrace it. There’s still time to have the best year ever in retail sales. The decision is yours.
